ABANDONED
BRICK
BUILDING
WIP — Early Development
DECAY AS
CRAFT.
This is an environment built around a single discipline challenge: how far can you push realism inside a modular kit? The brief was to create a full interior environment — crumbling brick walls, peeling surfaces, broken geometry — all authored from a reusable set of modular pieces.
Every surface tells a story of neglect. The material work is authored from scratch — layered decals, realistic weathering passes, and prop placement that makes each room feel like it was actually abandoned rather than designed to look that way.
The kit is built to be extensible — any combination of pieces should read as a coherent space. That constraint is what makes modular work hard, and it’s exactly what makes it worth doing well.
SURFACE
DEEP.
Every surface in the kit is authored with multiple layers of decals — cracks, staining, paint peel, and structural damage — applied on top of a base material to create depth that reads at any distance. The goal was realism that feels earned rather than filtered: grime that settles in the right places, damage that follows the logic of how a real building actually deteriorates.
STILL IN THE
FORGE.
This project is early — direction is still being shaped and the kit is actively growing. We’re not in a rush to pin it down. The work speaks for itself at every stage, and that’s what matters.
Check back as the environment develops. Some of the best work happens before anyone’s decided what it’s supposed to be.
More modular pieces, additional material variants, and further prop work to push the interior environment further — scope and direction TBD as the project develops.
